Overview
This sign addresses a specific property management scenario that none of the other signs in this series cover — the restriction of concealed weapons and firearms specifically within common areas of a multi-tenant or multi-unit property. The phrase “IN ANY COMMON AREA” is the key geographic qualifier that makes this sign unique: it is not a blanket building-wide prohibition, and it is not a single-threshold boundary notice. It targets the shared spaces — lobbies, hallways, elevators, courtyards, parking structures, laundry rooms, and amenity areas — that exist between private units or tenants and the public street, where property management has both the authority and the responsibility to establish a weapons-free environment regardless of what individual tenants or unit holders may be permitted to do within their own private spaces.
For Los Angeles apartment complexes, condominium associations, mixed-use commercial buildings, office parks with shared amenities, and any multi-tenant property where common area security is managed separately from individual unit policy, this sign draws precisely the right boundary. The dual gun-and-knife prohibition symbol reinforces that both firearms and bladed weapons fall within the restriction, and the “BEYOND THIS POINT” qualifier anchors the notice to the specific threshold where common area jurisdiction begins. Posted at the entrance to shared lobbies, amenity floors, and common area access points, this sign establishes clear, formally posted policy for the spaces that property management directly controls.
Key Features & Benefits
- “IN ANY COMMON AREA” geographic qualifier targets shared property spaces — lobbies, hallways, elevators, courtyards — with precision unavailable in general prohibition signs
- Covers both concealed weapons and firearms in a single restriction — broader than a firearms-only or concealed-carry-only notice
- Dual gun-and-knife prohibition symbol reinforces that the restriction extends to bladed weapons as well as firearms
- “BEYOND THIS POINT” anchors the notice to the specific threshold where common area jurisdiction begins
- Particularly suited to multi-tenant and multi-unit properties where common area policy differs from individual unit or tenant space policy
- Side-by-side text-and-icon layout accommodates the five-line message efficiently within the horizontal white panel
- Built for permanent outdoor and indoor installation — UV-resistant on durable Maxmetal® panel
- Ideal for Los Angeles apartment complexes, condominium associations, mixed-use commercial buildings, office parks, and multi-tenant properties managing common area security independently
