One Space Per Car — And This Sign Makes Sure Everyone Gets the Message
In tight parking lots and tandem-style spaces, a car parked even slightly over the line can block an entire adjacent space — and this sign addresses that problem directly, politely, and with full legal backing. The bold red PLEASE READ header stops drivers before they walk away, the black instructional text below explains the rule in plain language, and the top-down car illustration shows exactly what “within the line” means without any ambiguity. The tow-away warning at the base — backed by both L.A.M.C. 80.71-4 and C.V.C. 22658A — makes clear that the polite request carries real enforcement authority. The large 30×20 landscape format suits garage walls, support columns, and any horizontal surface where drivers will read the sign after parking. Commonly used at apartment complexes, compact parking structures, shared lots, and any Los Angeles property where line-straddling and space encroachment are recurring complaints.
